The Golden Goblet of Glory:

Affectionately known as "Old Dutch," this hand made,
1 pint tankard serves as a traveling trophy and a symbol
of the Cock & Bull Cup defender. A tournament winner
immediately becomes the defender of the cup, and
retains the vessel of victory until the next tournament.
Should the defender be defeated by a challenger,
the cup will pass on to a new Champion.
Tradition holds that only cup defenders are allowed to inscribe their name on the cup, and this happens immediately after the tournament right in the pub!
The Thorn Street Growler Competition:
Each season, the player with the most game wins for that season gets a Thorn Street Growler!
You don't need to win a tournament, just show up and play to accumulate some game wins.
In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the player who played more games gets the Growler.
Should there be a tie in wins and losses, a special match will be held as a tie-breaker.
The four Cock & Bull Cup seasons are listed below:
Winter = January / February / March
Spring = April / May / June
Summer = July / August / September
Autumn = October / November / December

2015 Cock & Bull Cup III Tournament
We had 11 players in the third Thorn Street tournament. In the uneven 11-player bracket, 5 random players drew a bye in Round I, so 6 random players had to play for a spot in Round II. Travis found himself facing and defeating his wife, Allison, in the Final Round. Sure, he's smiling in the picture, but will he still be smiling when he's sleeping on the couch later...?

2015 Cock & Bull Cup II Tournament
The second tournament at Thorn Street drew a meager six players, but not to worry, this is typical when starting C&B at a new venue. It also coincided with the beginning of the school year which normally takes a toll on attendance. But that just made the cup easy pickins' for first-time-player Heidi!

2015 Cock & Bull Cup I Tournament
August 6, 2015 marked the inaugural tournament at Thorn Street Brewery in North Park San Diego. 12 players showed up to test their skills at C&B Cup I in this new venue located in the middle of a quiet San Diego neighborhood. There were plenty of friendly people and a great atmosphere hosted by first-time bracket boss Patrick "Chops" Wells, the perfect C&B playground. Plus, a food truck parked in front delivered Thai food straight to your table inside the pub! Cup winner, Adam, had a blank cup on which to engrave the first name!
